I GREW UP: In Ohio. My mom wanted to make sure I was ready for the apocalypse, so I got my black belt, learned to garden, and went to farm camp.

I LOVE: Mozzarella sticks, running into the ocean, smushing my face into soft animals.

WHY I WRITE TV: TV is our best friend. It’s always on in our homes, subtly shaping the way we think about the world and what we imagine is possible. Good TV writers know how to hold up a mirror without making you realize you’re looking into one. Also I like to do bits.

IN HIGH SCHOOL I WAS: President of Choir. Not because I was a great singer, because I ate lunch with my teacher.

MY HOBBIES INCLUDE: Water aerobics, painting, needlepoint, dying my own clothes, crafting hyper-specific playlists, and wondering if I’ll ever be able to keep a plant alive.
